Knox

Artist Information

Growing up, Knox knew he had an interest in music more than the average kid. His teenage years were soundtracked by artists such as Fall Out Boy and Ed Sheeran, and the summer before he started college, Knox taught himself guitar. He began playing open mic nights and by his sophomore year, his musical ambitions were so all-consuming that he dropped out of school, moved in with his grandma, and saved up money to move to Nashville. He made the leap in January 2019.
Knox used Covid isolation to work on his craft. The focus paid off: Knox signed a publishing deal in 2022, but was struck with the urge to record songs he had been working on. The result was How to Lose a Girl in 7 Songs, Knox’s debut EP, released February 2023. Knox filmed TikToks featuring his song “Sneakers”, and amassed nearly 2M views overnight. “Sneakers” now has over 38M streams. Another fan favorite track, “Not The 1975,” cracked the Top 20 at Top 40 radio and Top 10 at Hot AC and adorned his 2023 EP, I’m So Good At Being Alone? Gaining further traction, he landed a SESAC Songwriter Award for “Not The 1975” and appeared on the red carpet at the MTV VMA. Along the way, he garnered acclaim from the likes of Billboard and collaborated with everyone from Bilmuri, Rosie and HARDY.

Simultaneously, Knox has established himself as a showstopping live presence renowned for energetic, engaging, and enthralling performances. He logged time on the road with The BAND CAMINO and Quinn XCII, going on to eventually sell out two of his own headline tours. He grinded with over 60 acoustic gigs for radio shows nationwide and a summer college tour. Simultaneously, he emerged as a dynamic outlier equally comfortable on a bill with either Boys Like Girls or Camila. He ignited the stage at Lollapalooza, the 2024 MTV VMA Block Party, and the US Olympic Gymnastics Trials. He even played at the Scripps National Spelling Bee—which broadcast live on television.
“I’m 6 states away from home and there’s a thousand people in the audience that are singing the song that I wrote with my friends in my bedroom,” says Knox. “That’s when it gets you, when you see people connecting to something that I made with my best friends. It’s the most unreal feeling in the world.”

With more music and touring on the horizon, he’s going to share that feeling throughout 2025 and beyond.
